Statewide WorkshopsBeginning September 1, 2005, I plan to travel the state presenting workshops for Elementary, Middle and High School students in the areas of Number Sense, Calculator, and Mathematics. The following are possible workshops that I could do for your school or school district. 3 hour/6 hour workshops: I would be willing to do workshops in Number Sense, Calculator Applications or Mathematics. The workshops would be tailor made for the students or teachers that I am working with. A beginning, intermediate or advanced level workshop could be set up. Materials would be developed and sent in advanced so that copies could be made for the participants.. Opportunities for question and answer sessions would be made available. Workshops could be scheduled on any day (Monday through Saturday). A calendar of workshops will be posted on my website to facilitate planning. Schools or School districts that are interested could set up a series of workshops (for example I could be invited to do a workshop for beginning sponsors and/or students in September, an intermediate workshop in November, and a more advanced workshop in January). These workshops could be conducted from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and/or 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. View samples of currently available materials on my website. The fee would be $100 for the first hour and $50 for each additional hour. I would need to receive reimbursement for meals, travel and hotel (the hotel expense requirement depends on the distance needed to travel from McAllen). I would like to encourage schools to join forces in a certain area to bring me to a workshop. If you want a money-making project, I would like to suggest that you charge $20 - $30 per teacher and $5 - $10 per student that attends. Think about the possibility of conducting a "money-making" workshop where your students learn and receive valuable materials for free ; the other participants pay for the workshop. I will begin scheduling workshops immediately. There is no one in the state that combines my years of experience in UIL Number Sense, Calculator Applications and Mathematics, my success in those events, and the numerous workbooks and practice materials that I have authored since 1983. I know that my materials have impacted more students and teachers than any other individual in Texas. I know that I have the motivational skills and expertise that can have a positive impact in your school or school district. If you are interested please email me at or call me at (956) 682-5185 between 6:00 p.m. and 10 p.m. (current list of workshops). Workshop InformationPlease provide the following information for the workshop(s). Use one form per workshop. Email to .
