Blog #29 – IMPORTANCE OF SUBDIVIDING TOPICS BEING TAUGHT
The most important key to being successful in teaching any concept is to be able to subdivide that concept into subtopics. This applies to teachers, parents, employees, etc. Mastery of initial subtopics lays the groundwork for a solid foundation. This foundation will increase the opportunity for success in mastering any concept. When success is more attainable for students, children, employees and others, their self-confidence will be strengthened tenfold. Keep in mind that success breeds success. As concepts are mastered, teachers can proceed from basic concepts to more complex ones. This strategy of teaching is applicable for everyone, regardless of ability. The accumulation of knowledge can progress more rapidly using this strategy. There is no shortcut for the learning process. Laying the building blocks for learning is something that is expected of teachers, parents and anyone else that wishes to be successful in their wish to teach any concept. In fact, it also applies to teaching any behavior. Those being taught will learn a valuable skill for when they become the teacher and have to teach any concept to their students. By observing those teaching, they are able to take what they learned and pass that onto anyone they come in contact with, be it their students, fellow employees, or everyday relationships.
