Blog #135 – When Times are Dark, Do Not Forget to Turn on the Light
In times when you are feeling depressed and desperate you need to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Many times we wait for others to help us. Yet, each of us has the ability to help ourselves. We need to always remember that when times are dark, we should not forget to turn on the light.
From a very young age, I began self-analyzing everything that I said or did. It was during those times of reflection that I concluded I had control of my actions. As I matured, I encountered situations when I felt times of despair. During those times, I took time to find a way to find a solution to whatever problem I was facing. Instead of dwelling on the negative, I sought to find a way to accentuate the positive.
I have found that focusing on the positive in any situation has a cumulative effect. The more times you succeed in solving a problem, the more you are able to solve a problem. You need to trust in yourself. Although you do not want to depend on others, it is alright to seek their help. Internalize the idea that when times are dark you should never forget to turn on the light.
